|The Treatment Unit
provides outpatient programs for individuals seeking help with substance
abuse/addiction issues. People of all ages, including children, are eligible if they have
problems associated with chemical abuse; are involved with a person abusing chemicals;
are experiencing problems
that are a result of past chemical or substance abuse; or have a need for counseling & urine testing.|
Some of the referral sources for treatment are:
- Court-ordered (DUI, probation, parole)
- Referrals for aftercare (from treatment facilities, detox, etc.)
- Employee Assistance Programs
- Adolescents (from CYS/JPO, placement facilities, schools, SAP, family)
Outpatient Detoxification Treatment Offered
This program is appropriate for opiate dependent individuals who want to detoxify while still living at home, and have strong home support.
DOT ASSESSMENTS Federal Aviation Administration
Any employee who is employed by a Department of Transportation (DOT) agency such as:
Federal Highway Administration
Federal Railroad Administration
Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration
United States Coast Guard
Federal Transit Administration
and fails a random drug screen must have a SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) evaluation and
recommendation before he/she can return to any DOT safety-sensitive duties.
Children of Alcoholics (COA)
This program will serve residing Fayette County children or adolescents who have COA issues. The
individual can be 17 years of age or younger, and must be able to understand the reasons for their treatment.
Mental Illness/Substance Abuse (MISA)
Specialized coordinated services are offered for adults experiencing both mental health problems and substance abuse problems.
We offer outpatient treatment for those with compulsive gambling problems. We provide
counseling to the gambler, and to the gambler's family and/or friends. We have
three counselors that have been specially trained and certified
in gambling addiction treatment by the state of Pennsylvania.

Overdose Grief Support Group
An opportunity for adults, ages 18+, to express their feelings of grief and loss, and share how they are dealing with memories of their lost ones.
An opportunity for children, ages 6-17, to use art & craft activities to help with expressing grief and loss, and maintain positive memories in a supportive environment.
